The team at PharmacoVision GmbH is proud to have taken the lead in developing the vigiS3® pharmacovigilance database. On behalf of its customers PharmacoVision not only uses vigiS3® itself every day but also vigorously drives forward the further development of vigiS3® and new tools. At PharmacoVision every effort has been focused on user-friendliness from the very start. In particular, attention is always paid to ensuring that the processing and assessing of the cases not only satisfies formal requirements but also leaves enough scope for use of medical expertise. Maximum efficiency and the mutual alignment of vastly differing process steps are always extremely important for PharmacoVision.
It is particularly important to the customers of Rhein Zinzius GmbH that vigiS3® be kept up to date. Technical development of the software is thus based on Rhein Zinzius GmbH's expertise. Rhein Zinzius GmbH programmed vigiS3®, and the programmers also supported the validation tests. David Zinzius, Head of Development at Rhein Zinzius GmbH, has been developing applications based on Internet technology since 1997, and since the early years has been the Internet specialist in security on the Web.

Meeting the EU requirements regarding electronic transmission of individual case safety reports to the national authorities and the EU is particularly difficult for small and medium-sized drug manufacturers. PharmacoSoftware GmbH has thus created a solution by combining vigiS3® with Seeburger AG's Business Integration Server (BIS). This has outstanding functionality and has already been used many times with great success. BIS transfers the XML files via a secure encrypted AS1 connection to the authorities in the EU countries and to the EudraVigilance gateway.
